The media is having a field day with the Green Arrow-Malone cover-up. Oliver, Thea and Quentin are figuring out their next move. Explain to press that Oliver thought green arrow good guy gave benefit of doubt. Adrian resigns as DA then Olive asks him to represent during impeachment

At the impeachment hearing we learn that the coroner was pressured by Adrian to not include the real report on Malone’s death but a falsified one that blames his death on Prometheus.

After day 1, Team Mayor thinks that Councilwoman Pollard might be their ally after the gun registry incident and Adrian goes to talk to her. In the limo, Thea wants to put the blame on Malone but Oliver refuses to ruin the reputation of a dead man. Vigilante attacks the limo, takes down Dinah and Thea. Opens fire on Oliver but when the cops come Vigilante escapes.

On a rooftop, Prometheus isn’t happy that Vigilante is taking on Oliver Queen. The two fight and Vigilante goes over a rooftop. Prometheus takes off his hood and we see it is Adrian! That I didn’t see coming. I thought Adrian was Vigilante.

Dinah is investigating the crime scene and finds a piece of Vigilante’s visor. Before Dinah can bring it in for Curtis’ new tech to trace the owner, Adrian takes it to say he will bring it into custody.

At the hospital. Dr. Schwartz, who I forgot knows Oliver’s secret says he is okay but needs to take care of his brain.

Meanwhile, Thea wants Felicity to use Pandora to dig up dirt on Councilman Collins, the swing vote in the impeachment hearings. Thea does get the dirt to blackmail him but Oliver tries to persuade her not to use it and wonders what has become of his sister. Thea wants to do so as Oliver needs to be mayor because of all the good he has done.

Eventually, Dinah steals the piece of Vigilante’s tech and Curtis’ new T-sphere technology get a location of where the rest of visor could be.

At the Mayor’s office, Adrian says it is going to be difficult to get the council not to impeach him unless someone is held accountable. So Oliver hold’s a press conference to throw Green Arrow under the bus. At the press conference, Oliver calls the Green Arrow a cop killer and he covered it up to try and protect the hero image that the Green Arrow had. But now, Oliver blames the Green Arrow for all of the city’s problems and he now enemy number one.

The press conference almost didn’t happen as Vigilante was across the street to shoot Oliver. But, Diggle, Wild Dog and Mr. Terrific stop Vigilante. Mr. Terrific’s T-sphere’s knock Vigilante down before he could kill him, Rene and Diggle. Alas, Vigilante gets away.

The next day, the council votes not to impeach Oliver. Even though Oliver gets to continue being mayor, Thea realized she didn’t like the lengths she was willing to go to protect Oliver. Thea didn’t like replacing her blood lust with blackmail so she quits being Oliver’s chief of staff to try and find herself again.

Oliver thanks Adrian for being his friend (of course we know now that he is nothing of the kind). Oliver also thanks Team Arrow for saving his life and for allowing him to still be mayor.

Russian Flashback

Anatoly uses some Bratva code to get them out of being shot by Gregor and his men. Bascially Anatoly has called a Bratva vote where members decide who they want to be their captain: Anatoly and Gregor. In order for Anatoly to win, he and Oliver need the dirt on Gregor to prove that he has made a deal with Kovar that benefits only him. In his season 1 Green Arrow gear, Oliver’s finds a ledger on a laptop that proves that Gregor is receiving separate payments from Kovar. Half of Bratva members go to Anatoly while some remain loyal to Kovar. With nothing settled, a gun fire erupts between the two factions.

Heartbreak for Mr. Terrific

Curtis develop new Mr. terrific weapons to keep him safe out in the field and hopes it will reconcile him with Paul. However, the dinner date that Paul arranged is a reconciliation but to serve him divorce papers. And funny the that restaurant looks exactly like Jitters but dressed differently.

Getting Back in the Good Books

Oliver asks Felicity help in reaching out to Susan Williams to try and rectify the mess she and Thea haev made. At Oliver’s impeachment hearings Susan gives Oliver the cold shoulder and still blames him for her getting fired. While recovering from the limo attack, Oliver tries to reach out again to Susan.

When Oliver is not impeached, Susan arrives to say she got her job back. Susan learns it is was because of Oliver and it looks like she will be keeping his Green Arrow secret and the two might be back together.

Felicity Going Dark

Diggle learns about Helix and Pandora from Felicity. Diggle warns Felicity that if she keeps playing fire with fire she will get burned. Felicity tells Diggle that he, Laurel, Thea, Oliver and Roy have gone dark to get things done but Diggle tells her that isn’t who she is. However, Felicity doesn’t heed it and joins Helix.

Coda

As Susan is walking to her car, Adrian comes across and threatening when asking her for an exclusive interview that is all life and death.

So what do we make of the Prometheus reveal? It seems that Josh Segarra’s time on the show is finite now that he is the villain of season 5.
