Sins is the theme of this week’s episode ranging from atoning for sins, taking on people’s sins and committing sins.

We open with Oliver going to see Amanda Westfield, the mother of Prometheus hoping to get her to reveal her son’s identity. But no dice and the team is back to square one but hope to find something out of the data Oliver stole from Amanda’s hard drive.

Meanwhile, China White, Cupid and Liza Warner have escaped and head to Star City. Go to Triad location and gang members are dead and Quentin sees Liza as part of the gang. Quentin feels responsibly for Liza.

China White et al are looking for a depository and thanks to Renee and Curtis they find out its where $100 million that Tobias Church had stashed.

The Green Arrow and Quentin arrive at the depository to confront the lady gang. When Quentin corners Liza, she is pissed at Quentin for working for Damien Darhk and thinks it was hypocritical of him to tell her to turn a new leaf. Quentin feels it is up to him to bring in Liza but Thea says it wasn’t his fault that Liza is a criminal

As the Green Arrow tries to take down China White and Cupid, the ACU arrive and the ladies escape. The ACU are here for the Green Arrow for the murder of Detective Malone. The ACU was tipped off probably thanks to an anonymous tip to Captain Pike.

The Green Arrow manages to escape. As mayor, Oliver, Adrian and Quentin wants to know how Pike knew the Green Arrow was involved with Malone’s death. Pike produces an autopsy report that was mailed to him that indicates Malone’s wounds were caused by arrows similar to the Green Arrow’s. Pike refuses to drop his investigation. Oliver knows it was Prometheus that sent the letter as the post mark was from Opal CIty, where his mom is from.

China White, Cupid and Liza find a guy who brings them to Church’s stash. When Quentin learns of this he informs Oliver. But since the Green Arrow is wanted by the SCPD he wants to sit this out and doesn’t want the team involved either. However, Quentin manages to convince Oliver to do something. So Oliver visits Pike to say the Green Arrow told him that Prometheus set him up to kill Malone. Oliver wants Pike to give the Green Arrow and his team the benefit of the doubt considering all they’ve done for the city. Pike needs to think on it.

Felicity gives Team Arrow the address of the depository. Newly minted SCPD cop Dinah has gone into the field as the Black Canary (Quentin gave his blessing to Oliver) sporting a mask that Felicity has gifted her.

The team arrive at a cemetery. China White, Cupid and Liza are there too and find the money hidden in a tomb. As they leave, Team Arrow confront them. We learn that Liza has recruited all the gang members to her side and a fight is on.

Luckily, Pike listened to Oliver and help out Team Arrow.

Stopping the Presses

Susan confronts Oliver if he is the Green Arrow, Oliver jokingly says yes but then says he isn’t. Thea is worried about Susan not letting it drop so Felicity hacks in and sees all the information the reporter has on Oliver. The two ladies realize that even if they delete the photos, Susan would still go back to her outside source to get it again.

So Thea asks Felicity to plant some stuff on Susan’s computer that discredits her as a journalist. Susan thinks Oliver has something to do with it as it seems odd she would confront him about being the Green Arrow and this happens to her. Oliver denies getting Susan fired and tries to deny he is the Green Arrow. Susan presents evidence about Oliver being the Green Arrow and leaves when she realizes that Oliver is just going to lie to her. Oliver finds out what Thea has done and is very angry at her for destroying Susan’s life. Thea tries to apologize but to no avail. Later, Oliver believes that Thea didn’t make a mistake but made a choice in what she did with Susan. Oliver tells Thea that what she did is something their mother would have done to protect him. Oliver worries about what is going with Thea.

Russian Flashback

Anatoly and Oliver form a plan to take out Gregor but notice an orderly passing by several times so they leave the hospital and get into a gun fight. The two are cornered. Oliver gives himself up to Gregor in exchange for Anatoly’s life. However, Oliver gets the upper hand and take out Gregor’s men. However, Gregor finds a hiding Anatoly and is reading to shoot him.

At the end of the episode, it doesn’t look too good for Oliver’s administration and a news story comes out that details how his office covered up the details of Malone’s death.

It really does look like Prometheus is out to destroy every aspect of Oliver’s life.
