There is a new vigilante in Star City and he goes by the original name of Vigilante. We all know that Vigilante is DA Adrian Chase and we see a bit of that side of him while he interrogating a bank thief that Oliver mistakes and great intensity in getting the job done in his role as DA.

Vigilante has been around since the season 5 premiere but back then Felicity called him goggles. But Vigilante makes a bigger impact by stopping a human trafficking ring and depositing the ring leaders at SCPD.

Team Arrow grows concerned at Vigilante’s methods, well really it is Oliver, while the rest think getting rid of some low-life’s isn’t necessarily a bad thing.

The next time Vigilante appears it is to stop bank robbers headed by Eric Dunn, a recently paroled from Iron Heights.

Team Arrow start asking around about Vigilante to try and find out who he might be. Another bank robbery draws out Vigilante but also Team Arrow. As mentioned before, one of the bank robbers is captured but Eric Dunn disappears as does Vigilante after Team Arrow failed to stop him.

Since Dunn is a target of Vigilante, the Green Arrow find him at a motel. Dunn professes the first time he was framed but Iron Heights hardened him. Vigilante finds Dunn and opens fire at the motel. The Green Arrow protects and saves Dunn. Later on we see Dunn deposited in front of SCPD.

To lure out Vigilante, Team Arrow decide to rob a bank. It works but unfortunately, Vigilante was expecting this and takes Mr. Terrific hostage to draw out the Green Arrow.

Green Arrow manages to get Terrific free and the two fight. Eventually, the Green Arrow pins down Vigilante. Green Arrow disagrees with his methods. Vigilante counters that Green Arrow’s methods isn’t working and he has done nothing to protect the city. When Green Arrow goes to take off Vigilante’s mask, a flash blows up in his face and Vigilante is gone.

At episode’s end, we learn that Eveylyn/Artemis is a mole within Team Arrow planted by Prometheus. We see the two have a nigh time rendezvous on a rooftop. Evelyn assures Prometheus that Team Arrow doesn’t suspect a thing

I have to say that I am really disappointed at this turn of events as Evelyn really was the only new recruit that I actually liked. I am just not clicking with the recruits and maybe that will change as the season goes on.truly do miss Team Arrow 1.5 that was comprised of Green Arrow, Diggle/Spartan, Felicity/Overwatch, Laurel/Black Canary, Thea/Speedy and even Roy/Arsenal.

Elsewhere….

  • Arrow — “Vigilante” — Image AR507a_0047b.jpg — Pictured (L-R): Dolph Lundgren as Konstantin Kovar and Stephen Amell as Oliver Queen — Photo: Diyah Pera/The CW — © 2016 The CW Network, LLC. All Rights Reserved.

In the Russian flashbacks, Kovar has Taina’s mom working for him and tells Oliver that he has made a deal with the Bratva

  • Oliver goes out for a drink with Susan Williams and it looks like at episode’s end they are dating. Interesting to note that Susan mentions being in a Twitter war with a Russian investigative journalist. If you remember, a few episodes back Susan was shown a picture of Oliver in Russian during a time that he was supposed to be on Lian Yu
  • Quentin resigns as deputy mayor but Thea doesn’t accept. Thea goes to see Quentin at his apartment and learns that he never stopped drinking and that he thinks that during his blackouts that he might be Prometheus. Thea thinks that is a ridiculous notion and Quentin agrees and we all agree too. Also, Thea drives Quentin to rehab to make Laurel proud and he does
  • Diggle has been going stir crazy being cooped up either at HIVE or at the Arrow Cave and it is affecting his work out in the field. Diggle admits to Rene that he missed JJ’s second birthday party. So Rene brings JJ’s party to Diggle at the HIVE lair. Lyla tells Diggle that she evaded the US Marshals watching her so they can come celebrate their son’s party.
