The Flash Season 3 “Infantino Street” Recap

The episode title comes from the street where Iris is going to die. And we are 24 hours from that that happening.
Team Flash are figuring out how to get the power source that is needed to power the speed force bazooka. The power source comes from the Dominator ship that landed in Central City and they realize that ARGUS has that power source.
Cisco and Barry go to see Lyla who refuses to give them the power source in part because of Flashpoint and how baby Sara no longer exists.

But Barry refuses to give up and decides to steal the power source and gets help in the form of Leonard Snart aka Captain Cold. Barry traveled to Siberia 1852 to grab the version of Snart that is a member of the Legends. Snart hears out Barry and agrees as long as he follows his rules. Barry agrees.
Team Flash isn’t happy that Barry traveled in time again after promising not to but he defends his actions by saying he would do what he takes to save Iris.
Meanwhile, Savitar is fixing his suit and Killer Frost wonders why Savitar wants to kill Iris considering he has all the memories of Barry that includes his love for Iris. Savitar tells Killer Frost that he is not Barry because he was a reject of Barry to be disposed of. This has made him bitter and Savitar wants to ensure Killer Frost is on board with his plan. Savitar then gets a memory of Barry grabbing Captain Cold to steal the Dominator power source.
Back at STAR Labs, Snart goes over his plan to steal the power source from ARGUS and says there are only four things to remember: Make a plan, execute the plan, expect the plan to go off the rails and throw away the plan.
While Snart and Barry go off and steal the Dominator power source, Barry gets Joe to take Iris to safety but to not tell him where they are going because if he knows, Savitar will know. Joe, Iris and Wally head to Earth-2 and to Harry Wells. While on Earth-2, Joe and Iris take a trip down father-daughter memory lane that ends in a sweet dance between the two.

Also at STAR Labs, HR and Tracy are getting closer and in fact Tracy is in on the secret that Barry is the Flash. HR even asks Tracy to be part of Team Flash, which she agrees and the two kiss.
At ARGUS, the heist is on. With Lyla on her way to San Franciso, Barry comes in with Captain Cold. However, Barry has used HR transmorfer to change his face to look like Lyla. The security guards are surprised to see Lyla considering she just left. “Lyla” tells the guards that the Flash dropped off Captain Cold in her lap. After getting through two security checks, Barry can’t get pass the final check so knocks out the guards.
As Snart and Barry makes their way to the power source we see the cells for Grodd, Cheetah and Cupid.
When Snart and Barry arrive at the door with the Dominator the find it is guarded by a sophisticated security system that Cisco can’t hack but Snart uses brute force to break. Another obstacle is King Shark is the final guard for the power source. Snart convinces Barry to his plan on using his cold gun to lull King Shark to sleep (something he learned from watching Shark Week on the Waverider). At this point the initial plan has gone off the rails and now the plan has been thrown out. With King Shark asleep, Barry and Snart make their way to the power source and steal it. Unfortunately, this causes the door to close and Barry narrowly escapes. Snart is now trapped with King Shark. Instead of leaving, Barry gets Cisco to hack into the system and the door opens enough to get Snart out. However more bad news for the two when Lyla and ARGUS agents stop them. Luckily, Lyla gives Barry the power source because sh understand his need to save Iris.
Barry then drops Snart back where he left him. Before leaving, Snart gives him some advice and the two go on their merry ways.

Barry arrives back to STAR Labs telling Cisco, Tracy and HR that he got the power source and asks where Iris is. HR happily tells Barry that Iris is stashed away on Earth-2 with Harry Wells. However, HR didn’t tell Barry but Savitar. Realizing the mistake, Cisco calls Barry to tell him the bad news.
Savitar arrives on Earth-2. Wally tries to stop Savitar but ends up getting his leg broken. Joe tries to talk to Savitar as he would Barry but his pleas fall to deaf ears. Just when Harry is about to shoot Savitar, he grabs Iris and disappears through the portal back to Earth-1.
With the power source, the speed force bazooka is ready. Barry doesn’t want to know what Team Flash is planning but needs everyone to be ready. Meanwhile, HR is devastated at the stupid mistake he made by telling Savitar Iris’ location. HR feels like a useless member of Team Flash. HR appreciates Team Flash in welcoming him and giving him a home and leading him to Tracy, a woman he sees a future with but he can’t forgive himself for what he did. Cisco tries to reassure him and says he is a valuable member of Team Flash and he is to hold down the fort.

When Cisco leaves to help Barry, he gets a vibe of his battle with Killer Frost. Cisco shares his vibe with Barry who insist he goes to face Killer Frost in hopes of bringing Caitlin back. So we get a Vibe and Killer Frost showdown that will get resolved in the season finale.

We then go to Infantino Street and Savitar is there with Iris. But something is slightly different. Savitar lets Iris go from his grip and taunts Barry. Barry uses the speed force bazooka on Savitar but it doesn’t work because of the Philosopher Stone. Tracy can’t believe the bazooka didn’t work. Savitar then grabs iris and kills her like he said he would. Barry speeds to catch Iris’ body and is grief stricken as is Joe.
Here is my question, why didn’t Iris just run off after Savitar let her go. Iris just laid there watching the action.
Anyways, when Iris got killed, we see the video message that she recorded for Barry earlier in the message. The video was Iris reciting her wedding vows to Barry.
I really hope the show did not kill Iris. I can’t imagine they would kill Barry’s end game love interest. But with the Arrowverse, you just never know.
