As reported by TV Line, Superman is set to make his Supergirl debut in season 2. The article contains a statement from executive producer Andrew Kreisberg where he states: “In a statement, executive producer Andrew Kreisberg said, “[Exec producers] Greg [Berlanti], Ali [Adler] and I are beyond thrilled to welcome Clark Kent and his slightly-more-famous alter ego to the world of Supergirl. Superman will be appearing in the first two episodes of the new season and we cannot wait to see who next dons the red cape!”

During season 1, Clark was either only seen in shadow or instant messaging with Kara. A younger version of Kal-El (Daniel DiMaggio) appeared to Kara when she imagined herself on Krypton if it hadn’t exploded.

Clark Kent/Superman is expected to appear in the first two episodes of season 2. Casting is currently underway for the role.

We personally would love it if Tom Welling were to play the role but we know that won’t happen because his Clark existed in another universe but if he does end up playing the part then we want Erica Durance to return as Lois Lane!

Who do you think should play Clark/Superman if we can’t get Tom Welling or Henry Cavill. Sound off in the comments.
