It looks like we are setting up for a divide within in the Inhuman faction: those that are with SHIELD or those that are with HYDRA.

Talbot and Coulson

Talbot is at the airport saying goodbye to his wife Carla, who isn’t pleased that he took the ACTU job. Coulson is also there and the discuss their new working relationship. We also see someone in a ball cap following the pair. As they make their way to the parking garage, Lincoln is also there to keep an eye on Coulson with May outside acting as support. When Coulson is alerted to a potential assassination attempt to Talbot, he puts him in his car while Lincoln deals with Creel aka Absorbing Man. Creel absorbs the rubber from tires to counteract Lincoln’s powers but once May gets him to absorb metal that Lincoln is able to take him down.

We learn that Creel is actually Talbot’s bodyguard.

Back at the SHIELD base, Coulson and Talbot are headed towards a Symposium with leaders from China, Russia, Japan, an African nation and Australia about Inhumans. The point of the Symposium is which of these countries are harboring Inhumans.

Talbot refuses to go to the Symposium without Creel and Coulson says he can come. Hunter and Bobbi aren’t happy with this news as Creel is responsible for killing Hunter’s team that had Xena in season 2. So off May, Hunter, and Bobbi go to Taiwan with Creel letting them into the Symposium as caterers. Coulson gets in as a CDC doctor who is an expert on Inhumans. Talbot stereotypes all the leaders thinking they are the inside man. Coulson is in a sling so he can handshake everyone with his mechanical hand allowing to get their palm prints so his team can gain access to the delegates room using gloves developed by Fitz.

Coulson gives an speech about Inhumans while the Russian delegate offers a sanctuary state for all the Inhumans to come to Russia for their safety. It is put to a vote and everyone agrees to this sanctuary state.

Meanwhile, the team is searching the delegates rooms but Hunter notices Creel leaving his post and follows him. Hunter finds a cube truck and opens to find Talbot’s son in one of the gel matrix cubes. Creel knocks him out.

While searching the rooms, May decrypts a message that the Aussie delegate sent that simply says “move him.” Bobbi has to abandon her post to go to the Aussie delegates room (Hunter was supposed to be there) and finds in her safe some paper work on an Inhuman.

Back at the Symposium, Malick arrives and reveals that Coulson is a traitor and is actually the director of HYDRA. Coulson realizes that Talbot is the inside man for Malick that they’ve been seeking.

However, we learn that Malick is holding Talbot’s son hostage and won’t hold his end of the bargain. HYDRA agents take Coulson and Talbot to the basement to kill them but Creel comes to the rescue. Above ground, May is off to rescue Talbot’s son while Hunter and Bobbie take care of the HYDRA agents at the Symposium then go after Malick.

Daisy and Lincoln

Simmons has tested Creel’s blood and learns that it can be the cure for the Inhuman condition. Daisy is appalled at the idea while Lincoln is thinking it might be a good thing. Daisy and Lincoln get in a brief fight over their differing views on the subject. Lincoln admires Daisy for embracing her powers and seeing it as a good thing while he struggling with it. We then see the two start to make out and we know where it is going to lead.

Hive Ward

Hive is remembering the life of Grant Ward and knows that he was a strong man. Malick agrees but thinks that Hive needs a new host as Ward’s body is pretty banged up. Hive insists that he wants to keep Ward has his host. We see that Hive is reading a lot of books. Hive wants to meet Lucio, the man that can petrify people. Hive is impressed and then gets him and Giyera to find 5 healthy humans. Giyera has found 5 healty humans and Lucio has petrified them. We see Hive shed his skin and we hear scream of pain. We then see bloody parts around Hive how is drenched in glue but looking much better.

Coda

Malick is giving the Russian a lift back home in his private jet and the two toast to the sanctuary state. Meanwhile, in the belly of the ship is Bobbi and Hunter.
