Bitten Season 3 “Family, of Sorts” Recap

Greg Bryk as Jeremy Danvers

It is Bitten third and final season and after a brief recap of the main events of season 1 and 2, we open with Elena talking about the bloody premonition that closed out season 2. Elena keeps on having visions of her in a fiery Stonehaven and her covered in blood and asks the person she is confiding in, when will the visions stop. We see that Elena is confiding in Paige who tells our lady werewolf that the visions will only stop when it comes true.

We go back to 7 months ago in Stonehaven. Jeremy is reflecting on all the Pack loses (Pete, Antonio, Logan) and comes to realization that he needs to control the North American wolves. Jeremy gathers Clay, Nick and Elena to tell of his plans to gather all the North American mutts to join their pack or die.

We see Clay chase after a mutt in some woods. Cain emerges behind a tree to stop this mutt. Clay and Elena arrive to tell this mutt to join their pack as they require his army medic expertise.

We then see Jeremy exert his will on a trio of counterfeit mutt brothers. The lead brother, Freddie, declines to join the Pack so Jeremy kills him. The remaining brothers like Bucky agree to be part of Jeremy’s Pack and will do whatever he wants. Jeremy hands him a burner phone and will contact Bucky if he requires anything.

Meanwhile, Nick pays Rachel a visit, who is holed up in a seclude home. Rachle has given birth to Logan’s baby, Rocco. Rachel isn’t comfortable lying to her family about her whereabouts. When the wiring in the house goes on the fritz, Rachel suggests bringing someone in to fix it. Nick tells her taht she can’t bring anyone in and he will fix it or bring someone he trusts in. Rachel tells Nick how much she misses Logan.

Clockwise: Greg Bryk as Jeremy Danvers, Steve Lund as Nick Sorrentino, Laura Vandervoort as Elena Michaels, and Greyston Holt as Clay Danvers

Back at Stonehaven, word gets out of Mutt activity in Kamloops. Elena suggests she and Clay fly out to deal with them. Jeremy tells Elena that it won’t be necessary that he will dispatch members of the Pack in Aldergrove or Nanaimo. So Elena decides to pay Rachel and Rocco a visit. But Jeremy puts his foot down on that too and says that Nick will be the only to visit Rachel until he figures out what to do with her.

Down in the basement, Clay tells Elena that they can still go to Kamloops as Jeremy didn’t say they couldn’t go. Elena is fine not going but instead wants to check out places of their own, a place they could raise a family. As the two discuss their future, in the sitting room above, Joey Stillwell pays Nick and Jeremy a visit to update Jeremy on what is happening in Alberta. Jeremy now wants to tackle the Yukon and Northwest Territories as fringe wolves are there. Once that mission is complete, Jeremy promises Joey the Alberta territory. As their visit continues, Joey notices a lase pointing at Jeremy’s back and realizes that someone is going to shoot at him. Joey gets in the way and more bullets are flying. Jeremy and Nick are fine while Elena and Clay change to give chase to the shooter.

Elena and Clay track him to a storage container place. Eventually, the shooter gets caught and brought back to Stonehaven. Someone watching at a distance, places a call and tells the person at the other that they have his brother.

Elena finds Nick in the kitchen washing his hands after moving Joey’s body. Nick shares a sweet story on how Joey was always a fighter and Elena comforts him. Clay comes into the room to prepare torture tools to get the Mutt to talk as they know they are associated with Eduardo the former Spanish Pack member. Clay doesn’t want Elena part of this so sends her on a errand to grab bleach to help them clean up after the inevitable body.

In the basement, Nick is ready to stab the shooter in revenge for Joey but Jeremy stops and tells him to step out of the room. Jeremy and Clay torture him to try and find out his name and where Eduardo is. We learn his name is Pablo and he finally talks after Clay threatens to gauge his eye out.

Eduardo is hiding out at a tannery and a plan of attack is formed. Jeremy wants Clay to finish the job with Pablo but Clay doesn’t want to until after they find Eduardo in case Pablo was lying. Jeremy relents and when Clay goes to check in on Pablo, he finds that he has hung himself.

The tannery is the right location as we see Eduardo there with Bucky who has turned on Jeremy unbeknownst to him. The only thing on these two mutts mind is revenge.

Jeremy, Clay and Nick arrive at the tannery. Nick waits outside while Jeremy and Clay go inside and hear “The Blue Danube” playing. They enter the room and knows that Eduardo was there. So Jeremy calls in some Pack backup that includes Bucky.

As for Elena, during her errand, she gets approached by Katia who knows that she is a female werewolf but she is human. Katia points out her werewolf brother Alexei to her and tells Elena that her dad, Sasha Antonov wants to talk to her. Elena at first refuses but then Katia says she will scream and this forces her hand.

So Elena meets with Sasha and wonders why she’s never heard about him or his son. Sasha explains they are from the Yukon but keep a low profile, only hunting Cariboo. You see, Sasha became aware of Elena after learning from a mutt escaping Jeremy about her. Elena is ready to call in her family for help but Sasha reveals that he is her family and that he is her father….

Maybe that explains how Elena is the lone female werewolf because her father is one.

It is a shame that we didn’t get too much Paige in this episode. I hope to see more of her and see her reconnect with Nick. Their relationship was my favorite part of season 2.
