Team Arrow now has a complete set of code names for our members as tonight, our favorite IT gal got hers but there was some lead up before we get there.

Diggle Flashback

It is 2005 and we see the Diggle brothers time in Afghanistan. Their convoy, which has Lt. Joyner, are ambushed but quick thinking from John and Andy allows them to stop the ambush. Later Joyner reveals himself to be a war profiteer and tries to get Andy to join him but he turns him down much to the delight of John who thinks his wayward brother has turned a new leaf. When John spies Andy talking to Joyner, he believes that Andy lied to him and took Joyner up on his offer. Andy tells John he was simply telling Joyner how to count cards at blackjack. John reluctantly believes him but he really shouldn’t have because Andy really did join Joyner. Andy wonders what Joyner did with the opium and he sold it to Baron Rieter who tells Andy about Lian Yu.

Present Day

John and Lyla’s date night is interrupted by an ARGUS agent, Allan Chang, seeking Lyla’s help. When Lyla tells him she is no longer part of ARGUS, Chang says that he is why he sought her out. However, their conversation gets cut short when when attack the trio. John is shot in the arm and the men get away with Chang.

Team Arrow is trying to find Chang and really could use Felicity’s help.

Speaking of Felicity, Oliver is waiting on her hand and foot. Oliver is trying to get her to return to the team but she does not feel up to the task. However, Felicity does quip that if she does return, her code name should be Hot Wheels. Oliver gets called away after finding about John and Lyla. In the loft, Felicity is taking more than the recommended dose of her medication and starts to hallucinate by seeing her former hacker self. Hacker Felicity taunts Felicity over her pity party.

Later on, Laurel is at a crime scene where the body of Chang has been found. John notes that Chang has been tortured and one of his eyes got removed.

Lyla and John go to see Amanda Waller to see what she knows about Chang but Waller is offering up nothing. Waller than tells Lyla that she regrets losing her best agent and goes to shake her hand. But really it was a reason for Waller to hand Lyla a flash drive. On the flash drive, we learn that two more agents have been abducted and a symbol appears on the file. We learn this symbol is the logo for Shadowspire, an organization that Andy is also a part of.

Andy does offer up information on where the two ARGUS agents could be and Team Arrow arrive. They see it is highly secure and Oliver calls Felicity who reluctantly springs into action while Hacker Felicity taunts her. The Black Canary and Speedy find the two ARGUS agents dead while Felicity accidentally tripped a fail safe that traps the Green Arrow and Spartan (John’s code name). When they get it, John is ambushed by Shadowspire men and their leader, Joyner. The Green Arrow arrives and manages to lead himself and Spartan to safety.

Back at the loft, Oliver tells Felicity that what happened wasn’t her fault. Hacker Felicity is there telling Felicity to tell Oliver that she is hallucinating and keeps on taunting her. Felicity yells for her to shut up but Oliver thinks she is talking to him. And when Felicity says the wants to be left alone, she was talking to Hacker Felicity but Oliver thinks she was talking to him and leaves.

Hacker Felicity is trying to get Felicity to embrace who she truly is, which Hacker Felicity says is her and eventually we do see Felicity come to a realization.

Andy is moved to an ARGUS cell and Waller reveals to the Diggles that the agents were protecting a shipment of rail guns. Andy tells his brother that Shadowspire is as a decoy to hide their real target.

At the Arrow Cave, during a sparring session, Laurel knows that Oliver is blaming himself over Felicity. Oliver drops a bombshell on Laurel stating that Barry went back in time when they defeated Vandal Savage and thinks because they messed with time, that is why everything is happening to them. John calls to send Team Arrow to stop Shadowspire from getting the rail guns

But Andy was right as no one showed up to get the rail guns. Instead the real target was ARGUS. Joyner wants Waller to give them the code for the Rubicon. John is in the detention cell to keep an eye on Andy when he sees that ARGUS has been attacked.

Back at the Arrow Cave, Felicity has arrived to tell Oliver that she knows who she really is and that is to be part of the team to help people and says that the only person to blame for what happened to her is Damien Darhk and they will stop him.

John can’t call out but uses the TV in the detention cell to send out a transmission, which Oliver and Felicity see.

Meanwhile, Waller still won’t give up the Rubicon code not even under the threat of killing her agents. Lyla tells Joyner that is true so he kills Waller buying Lyla time. When John sees this on the TV, he decides to help while Andy begs John to trust him so he can help.

However, we see that John has left Andy in the cell and two Shadowspire goons come to the detention area after noting a broadcast went out. Andy tells the two that he knows Joyner and can help find his jerk of a brother.

Team Arrow have arrived at ARGUS and Oliver gives Felicity a code name: Overwatch but said he wanted Oracle but it was taken. And we know Felicity is back because she easily breaks down all of ARGUS defenses to let Team Arrow in.

Back at the ARGUS main area, Andy is brought to Joyner who says that John is in the ventilation system. Shadowspire and brought to Joyner. Joyner threatens to kill John unless Lyla gives him the Rubicon codes. John tells Lyla to give it to Joyner.

Lyla is trying to use the codes but Felicity is on the other end stopping her. Joyner isn’t pleased and is about to kill John when the Green Arrow arrives and a fight ensues between him, Shadowspire and the Diggles, including Andy. Shadowspire is defeated and it’s revealed that Andy’s plan was about getting Joyner to think he was still part of the team so he and John can be brought up to the main area.

At the Arrow Cave, Oliver and Lyla drink to Waller and the team wonders what happens with Andy.

Later that night, Felicity shows Oliver a photo of Hacker Felicity and burns it to state that he who she was and that they will no longer look back.

We see that John has welcomed Andy to stay with him and Lyla. The episode ends with Andy meeting his niece Sara for the first time.

I have to say I was a bit shocked that the show killed off Amanda Waller but maybe they needed to considering the character is going to appear in Suicide Squad but then why do we have a TV Flash and a movie Flash. I think we can have two Amanda Wallers.

Also, I was hoping Felicity’s code name would be Watchtower as an homage to Smallville and Chloe Sullivan, the original Felicity but I guess we get something close with Overwatch.
