TV Line is reporting that the CW’s Arrow has cast Tom Amandes as the DC villain the Calculator. According to the article, Amandes character is described as “a criminal mastermind and technical genius, The Calculator — aka Noah Kuttler — uses his advanced skills in computer science and internet manipulation to blackmail Roy (Colton Haynes) out of retirement to do his bidding, which leads to an epic battle with Team Arrow.”

To us here at “Pop Goes the World” Amandes will always be Dr. Harold Abbott on the WB’s Everwood. Most recently, Amandes appeared on Chicago Fire and Revenge where he was reunited with his Everwood TV daughter Emily Van Camp.

Amandes is set to appear in two episodes beginning with episode 12 “Unchained”. There are rumours that Calculator/Kuttler could also be Felicity’s (Emily Bett Rickards) father and from the character description, we wouldn’t be surprised if that turned out to be the case.

Arrow returns on Wednesday December 2, 2015 at 8pm ET/7pm CT with the second part of the The Flash/Arrow crossover event.
