We open up 8 months ago on Earth 2. This world’s Harrison Wells is at a press conference to launch his new app that can detect the presence of a meta human. The Flash (i.e. Jay Garrick) crashes the press conference and says that Wells is the reason why there are meta humans like Zoom out there. Wells denies all of this and the two start playing the blame game. The Flash takes off and Wells’ daughter (Violett Beane) asks if he is okay; Wells assures her that he is fine.

Back to present day Earth 1. Team Flash is having a hard time accepting this Wells. Wells explains everything that is happening in his world and does fess up that he did create all the meta-humans and he is here to help Barry stop Zoom, who has destroyed his world.

Caitlin goes to get Jay as he is the only one that can confirm everything that Wells has told them. Joe arrives and sees Wells and shoots to kill. Barry stops all of the bullets and explains who this Wells is to Joe.

At Central Picture News, Linda gets in a bit of an editorial argument with Larkin when Joe interrupts to speak to Iris. Joe tells Iris about Earth 2 Wells now in their world and she takes it in stride. But for her protection, Joe gives Iris a gun to use just in case.

At Jitters, Cisco and Barry are still wrapping their head around Earth-2 Well, whom Cisco calls Harry and whether or not they should trust him. Also in line is Patty and she asks for Barry’s help in writing up her report on King Shark but Barry says that he is busy doing science stuff. Patty looks crestfallen and changes her mind about coffee. Cisco tells Barry that he is an idiot for not asking Patty out and to prove that he got game, he decides to ask out the new woman starting at Jitters, one Kendra Saunders (Ciara Renee). Kendra shuts Cisco down and he walks away a bit humiliated. It doesn’t last long as Cisco gets a vibe that another breacher has come to Central City and is robbing the Central City Bank.

The Flash arrives and tries to stop this breacher but is unable to. Back at STAR Labs, we learn that this is Dr. Light. Barry wants to know how Cisco knew about Dr. Light. Cisco lies and says he set up an alert on his phone.

When Jay arrives, he is none to pleased to see Wells and the feeling is mutual. Both Wells and Jay explain that this new breacher is Dr. Light. Wells wants Barry to stop her before she can complete her mission from Zoom but Jay thinks she can be reasoned with.

Back at the precinct, Barry finally builds up the courage to ask Patty out for dinner that night and she happily accepts.

Before their date however, Barry needs to deal with Dr. Light, who is in the midst of robbing another bank. Jay suggests that Barry try and talk to her. At the bank, the Flash tries to talk to Dr. Light but no go. During their scuffle, Dr. Light’s helmet comes off to reveal the face of Linda Park. Dr. Light is surprised that the Flash knows her name and then blinds Barry to make her getaway.

At STAR Labs, Barry thinks that Zoom sent Linda to kill him because she’s his ex-girlfriend and knew he would hesitate to hurt her. Team Flash wonders how Zoom would know of Barry’s relationship with Linda. The team figure that Earth 1’s Linda would be in danger because of Dr. Light will attempt to kill her and take over her life. Jay believes that Dr. Light wouldn’t do that because she has never killed someone. Jay and Caitlin decide to go and protect Earth 1 Linda.

Iris arrives and sees Wells and she too is not happy to see him. Iris sees that Barry has received a text from Patty stating she is running late for their date. Barry wants to cancel because he is blind but Iris convinces him to go and use Cisco for help.

At their date, Barry is in sunglasses and Cisco is using the camera within to act as his eyes. The date is going well but Patty knows that Barry can’t see. Barry says that he got his pupils dilated and that is why he can’t see but didn’t want to cancel their date. [Vancouver filming note: The restaurant is actually the outdoor terrace of the central branch of the Vancouver Public Library in downtown Vancouver. When Barry and Patty leave their date, they are in front of said library]

Outside of the Central City Picture News, Caitlin and Jay are talking about the differences in Earth 1 and 2. There is an Atlantis on Jay’s world and one of his best friends is from there. I am guessing that this is is Arthur Curry aka Aquaman. As their conversation continues, the two start getting closer and just when they are about to kiss, Dr. Light uses her powers to flip their van.

Dr. Light enters the newsroom and Iris clears the room but only her, Larkin and Linda remain. Light moves to kill Linda so she can escape Zoom and Larkin attempts to stab Dr. Light but she uses her powers and kills Larkin. Iris uses her gun to remove and they all see that it is Earth 2 Linda, which confuses Earth 1 Linda. Dr. Light uses her powers to blind everyone and leaves.

As Barry and Patty end their date with a sweet kiss, both get a call about what went down at Central City Picture News. Linda is all confused why her doppleganger wants her dead.

Barry returns to STAR Labs and Jay into a huge fight about Zoom where Wells taunts Jay for being a coward and running away from Zoom. Barry puts a stop to the fight as they need to stop Dr. Light. With Dr. Light’s helmet in their possession, Wells knows how to locate her and that is using Cisco’s powers. Cisco pretends not to know what Wells is talking about but Wells says that he is a metahuman. Using his watch, Wells moves it over Barry where it lights up then over Caitlin where is surprisingly it doesn’t and it goes off with Cisco. Cisco apologizes for not telling about his powers and explains what it is. After some false starts, Cisco gets a vision and says Dr. Light is at the train station at platform 15.

The Flash arrives at the train station and Wells suggests making speed mirages of himself to get close to Dr. Light. Cisco gets a moment of deja vu at that piece of advice. The Flash manages to get Dr. Light, who is now safely in the pipeline.

Barry is ready to fight Zoom with the help of Wells, Team Flash and Jay but the latter doesn’t want to lead Barry to lose his powers or worse so leaves much to the chagrin of Caitlin.

Back at Jitters, Cisco manages to get Kendra’s number since she is new to Central City, wouldn’t mind a tour guide. Over their Flash coffees, Team Flash comes up with Cisco’s code name: Vibe.

In the coda, we are in Earth 2 in some sort of destroyed lab. Zoom taunts Wells’ daughter for abandoning her and we see that she is in some sort of cell all tied up and she says her dad will be back.
