CONSTANCE ZIMMER
Banks informs his boss (Constance Zimmer) that Joey has escaped but she notes that he was extracted and orders him to clean up the mess without drawing too much attention. But too late as we see Coulson take a picture of the woman.
Back on the Bus, Daisy tells Joey what has happened to him and says he is safe in the box as adapts to his power. Before leaving, Daisy asks if he takes supplements like fish oils. Joey says he does.
During a debrief, we learn that Joey is the first guy SHIELD has grabbed as they tried with 5 more beforehand. The good news is the Inhuman sightings have only been in the continental US. Coulson wants to know who the lady is that is in charge. can grab, 5 taken by black ops, only in Cont US. Coulson wants to know who is lady.
We then see this lady with said 5 bodies that all look like they have holes in their chest. The lady wants to know who grabbed the one that got away.
Hunter gives an update to Coulson on the lady. Here are things we know. 1) She isn’t HYDRA and 2) She has worked on different spy agencies under different aliases. Another things of note is that Coulson has a mechanical hand that he twisted off in the scene. Mack then briefs Coulson on Joey.
Later, Bobbi welcomes Joey to his new home at the SHIELD base and gains his trust by saying things about him based on hi Facebook status.
Daisy and Mack tell Joey truth about him being an Inhuman. Joey does not take the news well especially when he can’t go back to his life. Daisy says it’s best for him to stay with SHIELD especially considering what happened to Sokovia (see Marvel’s The Avengers: Age of Ultron). Joey wants to leave until he sees news reports that indicate a manhunt is on for him. Daisy has to use her quake powers when Joey uses his powers.
At the lab, Bobbi updates on Coulson on the monolith. Nothing has happened since Simmons disappeared into it. We learn that the tainted fish oil is off store shelves that has only affected other marine life and Inhumans. Coulson needs Fitz’s help in examining the weapon that is from the lady but Fitz is no where to be found. Bobbi covers for Fitz and says that he is chasing one more lead on the monolith.
We see that Fitz is in Tangier, Morocco to meet with Yousuf that has a scroll casing that explains what the monolith is so he can save Simmons. Fitz offers to exchange splinter bombs, the same ones that killed Bakshi. Yousuf agrees to the trade and is about to double cross Fitz saying that love makes people blind but it is Fitz who does the double crossing and grabs the scroll and takes off.
During the season premiere, we get the sense that Bobbi and Hunter aren’t talking to each other so Mack advises that they need to get their shit together or the team will splinter.
Daisy goes to Coulson and wants to bring in Lincoln to help with Joey. Coulson says fine and to bring Mack with her
Thanks to Bobbi testing the gun, she has found the woman: Rosalind Price and she gives details to Coulson of her schedule on when she will be alone on the Washington, D.C. Metro. However, when alone, it is Rosalind who has set a trap for Coulson and Hunter. Rosalind and Coulson exchange each other secrets like him being dead and mentions TAHITI. Price wants to know what Coulson did with bodies he found but he thinks she took them.

CHLOE BENNET, LUKE MITCHELL, HENRY SIMMONS
Daisy and Mack find Lincoln at a hospital working as a doctor. Lincoln isn’t happy to see Daisy and Mack and thinks they want his help with the monolith but they tell him they want him to come back to welcome all the new Inhumans they find. Lincoln doesn’t want to help as he feels his powers are a curse. Their conversation ends when the hospital lights start to flicker. Another InHuman, Lash (Matthew Willig) is looking for Inhumans and is happy to find two of them in one place. We assume that Lash is the one that attacked the other 5 Inhumans.
Lincoln and Daisy use their powers to fight him and Mack use gun but to no avail. The guy creates holes in walls and floors to escape.
Lincoln now has to flee as people will go after him and Daisy and Mack leave too.
We learn why Hunter is not speaking to Bobbi and that is he doesn’t want to speak to the bride on their wedding day. We think they are going to re-marry but really Bobbi just wants her wedding ring back. We also learn that Hunter is out for revenge and wants to go after Ward for what he has done to them. Bobbi also wants to help once she has fully recovered.
Later on the team watches the President address the nation about the alien threat and that he has created a task force: ACTU which is headed by Rosalind. Daisy then tells Joey he can’t tell anyone that he is Inhuman. We later see Coulson in his office running some sort of program and sees that the Terrigen has the potential of affecting lots of people worldwide.
Fitz has returned to the Bus and Coulson is there to greet him. Fitz tells him about the scroll possibly helping but Coulson notes that Fitz thought that Simmons was shrunk just like Ant-Man. When Fitz opens the scroll, he only finds a paper that has the Hebrew word for death on it. Coulson then tells Fitz that he needs to let go of Simmons and move on just like has not knowing if May will return or not.
Fitz then breaks into the room where the monolith is in and starts to hit it and yell at it begging it to do something.
In the coda, we see that Simmons is in some alien world that looks like the Phantom Zone. Simmons is running for her life as she covers a cut on her face with some mud from the world.
Let’s hope Simmons comes back or somehow Fitz figures things out and rescues her. Season 3 started off pretty strong and looking forward to where this ride leads.
Thanks for the insightful recap! I haven’t been able to watch it but your writing helped bring the story to life in my mind.
