Hands down this cross-over episode of Supergirl/The Flash was everything that it lived up to be. It was 100% awesomeness that I ship SuperFlash and hope that we can one day see Barry Allen back on Supergirl or Kara Danvers on The Flash. It was great to see Gustin and Benoist together as they never had an interaction while on Glee. I think they might have been in the same scene when Blaine proposed to Kurt at Dalton but that was pretty much it.

However despite this A++++ episode, we get no movement on where is Jeremiah Danvers as Alex and J’onn are MIA.

Before Barry arrives on Supergirl’s Earth, we are the DEO where Siobhan is undergoing tests to see what is wrong with her. Dr. Hamilton tells Supergirl and Winn that Siobhan isn’t an alien but a human that is able to emit a super sonic scream.

Siobhan becomes frustrated that the DEO can’t figure out what is wrong with her and starts to lash out at Winn. Winn stands by her and will be there to support her. Siobhan then starts to hear screams and suffers terrible headaches that she leaves the DEO. On her way out, Siobhan sees Lucy interrogating Livewire about a recent electrical incidents. Livewire denies any involvement and unleashes her power that Siobhan sees.

At CatCo, Cat gives Kara some advice on how to get James and that is by making him jealous. As Kara returns to her desk, Siobhan arrives with a look of steely determination after suffering another headache. Siobhan unleashes her Banshee scream that throws Kara through a window and plummeting down to the ground.

Thankfully, the Flash grabs her and speeds her to the desert. Kara clothes catches fire and the Flash is all hilarious trying not to put out the flames. Kara states that she doesn’t need help and flies off in her Supergirl guise to go back to National City. The Flash speeds off to keep up with Supergirl and the two stop to find out more about each other.

To no one’s surprise, they have not heard of the other. The Flash even asks Supergirl if she has heard of the Green Arrow, the Black Canary, Firestorm, the Atom and Zoom. Nope to all of those. If you are a fan of the The Flash, Arrow and Legends of Tomorrow then you will have heard of all the heroes and villain that the Flash name checked.

The Flash removes his mask and introduces himself as Barry Allen and that he comes from another Earth.

In the Superfriends office, Barry finds out there is a Central City in Kara’s Earth yet no STAR Labs hence no Cisco Ramone, Harrison Wells and Caitlin Snow to help him get home. Winn and James drops by to make sure Kara is okay and startled to meet Barry. Winn is way more excited to meet someone from an alternate Earth but James can’t understand the concept. Barry and Winn explain the multiverse to James and Kara. James asks how was Barry able to travel dimensions and shows by super speeding the trio vanilla ice cream comes much to the delight of Kara and Win and the jealousy of James (Winn calls him out on it). Also, Barry thinks it is cool that Kara is an alien.

Since Barry needs to consume 10,000 calories, Kara takes out for donuts but before doing so, gets called into Cat’s office about the new hero that has appeared in National City. With Winn, James, Kara and Barry all together, Cat describes them as a diverse cast of a CW show.

Cat wanted to talk to Kara since she was rescued by the new hero in town and wants to exclusive. Cat also wants to name the hero and comes up with the Blur (an homage to the Flash’s original moniker in season 1 and also what Superman was called in Smallville). Barry suggests the Flash but Cat shoots him down and he realizes that he shouldn’t have spoken.

Elsewhere in National City, Siobhan visits her psychic aunt to figure out what is wrong with her. Her aunt tells Siobhan that the women in their family are cursed as someone wronged a banshee woman back in Ireland to make all the women in her family unlikable. The Banshee power is activated when the person feels wronged. The only way to stop the curse is to kill the person that has wronged them. The aunt also gives details on the banshee scream and warns Siobhan not to let this anger consumer her. However, we see that Siobhan wants revenge and she will get it if she kills Kara.

So Siobhan unleashes her Banshee scream to break out Livewire from the DEO and gets her to come to an abandoned warehouse. The two agree to team up where Livewire can take out Cat and Siobhan Kara. The teamup is so they can get rid of Supergirl who is always there to rescue Kara and Cat. But before that Livewire gives Siobhan a make over.

When Kara learns that Livewire has broken out, she recruits Barry to help her. Kara takes Barry to the DEO and he totally loves the facility and wants a picture with Kara’s space ship. Lucy questions Barry’s presence but welcomes his help in stopping Livewire. When Barry finds out Livewire’s location, the two go in without a plan. When they arrive, the Flash speeds around Livewire and unleashes a lightening bolt at her but this only powers her up and she takes out the Flash. When Supergirl is ready to douse Livewire with water, the Silver Banshee emerges with her screams. Supergirl sees that her ears are bleeding and can’t defeat Silver Banshee. The Flash and Supergirl do manage to take them down temporarily and knowing this battle can’t be won, the two take off.

At CatCo, Kara tells Barry about her red K incident and how she lost the trust of her city and she has been working her butt of to regain it. Barry offers some advice on giving the city time to trust her and can relate as it has happened to him.

Later, Livewire and Silver Banshee go to CatCo to capture Cat. Winn tries to talk some sense into Siobhan but she is happy about who she is. Back at the DEO, Barry has built ear plugs to help block out Silver Banshee’s cry and he got that idea after battling the Pied Piper on his Earth. Lucy notes James looking jealous and hopes he isn’t holding back on being with Kara because of her. Lucy says that they never were meant to be and she tried to make something work when she shouldn’t have.

Livewire gives a message to the Flash and Supergirl to meet at National City Park. We see Cat handcuffed to a park bench and begs the villains not to kill her because she doesn’t want her sons to be without their mom. Just when Livewire is about to stop Cat’s heart, Supergirl and the Flash arrive. Silver Banshee’s cry doesn’t work and the Flash and Supergirl take on the two women. The Flash chases after Livewire but she takes him down.

Silver Banshee and Supergirl fight and eventually Livewire is about to take out a helicopter with her lightening but Supergirl flies up and take it all herself. Supergirl collapses on the floor down for the count. But the people of National City that are in the park sees Supergirl’s sacrifice and protects her from Livewire and Silver Banshee. Eventually, National City Fire Department shoots water on Livewire and her electricity also shocks Silver Banshee taking them both down. It seems that Supergirl has gotten the trust of National City again thanks to a report from Perd.

Later on, Kara tells James and Winn that Barry has helped National City police being able to house meta human prisoners so they don’t have to be at the DEO. Also, Cat totally knew all along that Barry Allen and the Flash are one yet remain oblivious (or is she) that Kara is Supergirl,

Back at the desert, Barry has figured a way home and that is using their combine speeds so Kara can throw him into the portal. Before Barry goes, he encourages Kara to just go for it with James. The two say their farewells and the race is on and Barry Allen returns to Earth-1.

That night Kara asks James over and lays a kiss on him but she doesn’t get quite the reaction she was hoping for as James walks out of her apartment like a zombie and she sees people outside marching to an unknown destination. We learn that Non has activated Myriad for Astra and that National City is just step 1 while all of Earth is next.

What I totally loved about this episode was that it was by far the funniest episode of Supergirl as all of Cat’s zingers were on point and Barry and Kara were all kinds of adorkable.
