This episode could be considered part 2 of last week’s as it is pretty much a continuous at what happened.

We open the episode with a Dr. Light and the Flash showdown with Light taking down the speedster and says Zoom always wins before ripping off his white emblem.

But that was 72 hours from now

The Life of Dr. Harrison Wells: Earth-2

At STAR Labs, Jesse visits her dad who asks him if what the Flash says was true in that he created the meta humans. Wells admits nothing but we clearly see that he loves his daughter very much especially when he learns that Zoom attacked Jesse’s school and has taken her captive. Another we learned on Earth-2 is that Robert Queen became the Hood in Starling City while Oliver perished on the Queen’s Gambit.

Trust Issues

When Patty wants to discuss the Dr. Light case, Joe tells her the case is closed. Patty thinks that Joe is giving her the cold shoulder because he suspects that she and Barry are dating. Barry doesn’t think so as he didn’t tell Joe. So in an effort to be transparent, Patty tells Joe about her and Barry but he doesn’t really care. Patty was hoping this would get Joe to be transparent with her but alas no. Fed up that Joe isn’t doing anything about Dr. Light, Patty feels that Joe doesn’t trust her but he says he does and he needs her to trust him about the Dr. Light situation.

Vibing Dr. Wells

Team Flash doesn’t trust Wells and feels his eagerness in helping them hides another reason. Throughout the episode, Cisco hilariously tries to vibe Wells and manages to when he doesn’t do it deliberately. Cisco sees Jesse being held captive by Zoom on Earth-2.

Linda Helping Hand

Barry talks to Dr. Light and manages to convince her to help capture Zoom. Back at the cortex, Team Flash devises a plan that involves shooting Zoom with a serum that will take out his speed. Caitlin is the only one that has some concerns but gets overruled.

However, putting their trust in Dr. Light was indeed misguided as she uses her invisibility powers to escape the pipeline and also to disable all the security protocols in STAR Labs to make her escape.

With Light out in the wild, Linda fears for her life but she wants to do something to help. Iris brings her to STAR Labs to meet the Flash. Because Dr. Light left behind her suit, it is decided that Linda will pretend to be Light to lure Zoom to Earth-1.

Linda agrees and Team Flash head to a warehouse so she can practice using devices that Cisco rigged to emulate Light’s powers. The training session is a fun sequence as we Linda doing her best to be a villain.

Joe doesn’t quite understand why Barry is so adamant in stopping Zoom now and believes that it’s because he didn’t stop Reverse-Flash himself but Eddie.

Later, on the Flash visits Linda, who is staying at Joe’s for her protection. Linda doesn’t think she can do what Team Flash wants but he believes in her. To gain her trust, the Flash reveals to Linda that he is Barry. Linda can’t believe that she has made out with the Flash. Malese Jow is hilarious.

So we are now at the beginning of the episode at a cargo yard where a breach is at. Linda is spewing really bad villain dialogue and attempts to battle the Flash. This sequence is pretty funny as Barry pretends to be hit but eventually Linda gets the hang of it and we see her take down the Flash and throw the emblem into the breach. After an hour, Zoom doesn’t show up and Wells is pissed.

Thinking that all is well, Linda decides to go home from work but is then taken by Zoom.

We then get the Zoom-Flash showdown. First up, the Flash rescues Linda from the roof of STAR Labs aka the roof of BC Place.

The epic Zoom-Flash battle takes place in the STAR Labs plaza aka Vancouver’s Terry Fox Plaza, a place that I walk through every day.

The two trade punches and Barry attempts to throw lightening at Zoom but he catches the lightening to throw back at the Flash. The attempt to shoot the serum at Zoom fails and we see Zoom uses is claws to hurt Barry’s back and then stabs him in the gut.

Zoom then drags the Flash like a rag doll on a tour of Central City to the Central City Picture News and the police station to say that the Flash is a false god that they look up to. The cops that include Captain Singh, Patty and Joe open fire at Zoom but he catches all the bullets.

Zoom’s final stop is STAR Labs. Zoom taunts Wells but has to escape when Cisco manages to at least hit Zoom partially with the serum. Thanks to Barry’s healing powers, he is going to be okay but Joe’s is pissed at Wells. Team Flash believes that Wells was sent by Zoom to Earth-1 to kill Barry. When Cisco asks who Jesse is, Wells wants to know what he saw. Cisco says he saw Jesse alive with Zoom, Wells tells Team Flash that he came to Earth-1 to defeat Zoom as he couldn’t do it on Earth-2 and everything he is doing is for the love of his daughter. Wells felt he could win this time with the help of Barry but alas he was wrong.

In the coda, Barry wakes up but unfortunately, he cannot feel his legs.
