Team Arrow goes back in Russia this week, a familiar face returns, Oliver inches towards becoming the Arrow and Team Arrow loses a member.

Russian Flashbacks

Oliver is training with Talia and we start to see his Green Arrow beginnings and Talia is pleased with his progress. Talia wants Oliver to take out someone off of his dad’s list, a Japanese drug dealer that supplies the drugs that Thea once took. Oliver takes out the guy and tells him he has failed Starling City. Oliver crosses his name off the list and Talia says he needs to go back to Starling City to honour dad wishes but Oliver says it would be hard for him to get out of the Bratva.

Oliver goes to see Anatoly to tell him but he sees that he was beat up really bad by Gregor when confronted over his tied with Kovar. Oliver doesn’t tell of his desire to leave instead vows to get revenge on Gregor.

Lance is Back

Lance is back from rehab and wants to do a press interview. Oliver thinks it is a bad idea so gets Rene to help prep him. Rene starts to ask Lance questions that Susan would ask. The questions are tough but Rene goes too far when he asks about Laurel’s death and his ties to Darhk. Lance gets angry and kicks him out. Rene returns to say the interview will happen at 10am the next day. Lance apologizes and asks for his help again. Later Lance pays Rene a visit to say the interview went well and that it was a cake walk. Susan went easy on Lance for something Rene said . Rene shared a story of how when he was a kid, Lance was a beat cop and he caught him as graffiting a building. Instead of hauling Rene in gave him some advice that set him in on straight and narrow.

Back to Russia

After a press conference to thank Adrian for helping Diggle, Susan alerts Diggle and Oliver to Walker and his men escaping custody and have taken the nuke trigger. Felicity finds out Walker plans on selling the nuke to Marcovians so Team Arrow (minus Rene) with new member Dinah goes to Russia. Oliver meets with Antony who punches him and says he should not have come came back to Russia. Anatoly pissed at Oliver for betraying the Bratva brotherhood with something Oliver did in season 2. Anatoly refuses to help Oliver unless he comes back to the Bratva and does something for him. Oliver refuses butdoes offer him a tip to move fast when it comes to the Marcovians.

Felicity manages to trace a burner phone Walker is using via the Pandora USB. After intimidating a tech guy to gain access to the cellphone network that Walker is using, Felicity gets a location on Walker. It is a Russian Orthodox Church. Walker is there but is tipped off to someone after him and escapes but the team has captured one of his men who they hope will lead them to Walker.

The man is not talking even after Oliver threatens him with torture and Diggle is not happy with slow progress. Rory finds Felicity in van and gets her to confess that she used the Pandora USB to blackmail the tech guy. Rory thinks Felicity has crossed a line but she says you need to fight fire with fire. Rory is about to tell Oliver but doesn’t get chance as Diggle is beating up the man to a bloody pulp. This forces Oliver to go to Anatoly and agree to do his favour in order to get Intel on Walker and his location

Oliver brings Dinah to rough up some guys Anatoly wants out of business.  Dinah sees that this isn’t his first rodeo and Oliver confesses that he hoped to have the Bratva part of life behind him and gets all broody. Dinah calls him out in letting Prometheus get in his head and that he hasn’t infected Felicity or Diggle with his mistakes. Later Oliver yells at Diggle and Felicity to be better than him and not be him as that is how OTA works. Anatoly visits Oliver with news of Walker’s  location and with some men to help take him down.

Team Arrow goes to a hanger where the deal is going doing. Oliver and Dinah go after the Marcovians but discover they don’t have the nuke.

Diggle confronts Walker and learns he double crossed the Marcovians and hopes to seel the nuke again. Felicity and Rory find the nuke in the hangarwhen Felicity tries to disarm it she ends up speeding up the clock. Rory uses his rags to envelop the nuke and it explodes  but he is okay. Diggle is tempted to kill Walker but stops and brings him in the face charges

The team celebrates over vodka and Diggle tells Oliver he and Felicity aren’t better than Oliver but all three of them make each other better. Rory leaves Team Arrow as stopping nuke did something to his rags but says will return.

Meanwhile, Felicity is going to continue to use the info found in the Pandora USB as Walker was just the start.

When Oliver returns to Star City, he takes things with Susan to next level and didn’t before because of things in his past. When Susan presses to talk about his past on the Island, he says he will in time.

At episode end, Susan meets with her source who has found that the Green Arrow showed up in Russia the same time that Oliver was there. Susan puts two and two together and now knows Oliver is the Green Arrow.
