This episode we learn what happened to Andrew, see that Simmons is torn between two men and Bobbi asks Hunter to drop his vendetta against Ward.

6 Month Ago

On a beach in Hawaii. May is looking contemplative and Andrew captures that moment on his camera phone. May wonders if she have a life outside of SHIELD and Andrew convinces her that they can.

Back at home, Andrew is speaking to Coulson on the phone and tells him he doesn’t now if May will come back. Andrew thanks Coulson for giving him all of Jiaying’s documents, files and books from Afterlife. Among them is a ledger that lists all the Inhumans. When Andrew opens the book a Terrigen mist is released. Andrew is affected and when he emerges from this cocoon, he is different but thankful to be alive.

FitzSimmons

Simmons gives Fitz her phone in hopes that he can recover the data to see video and photos she took of the planet she was in on that might help him find the portal back. Fitz repairs the sim card and looks through the photos. When Fitz comes across a couple of shot of Simmons and Will, he gets a little pissed that he is helping the woman he loves go back for the man she loves. But then a recording from Simmons to Fitz brings him back. Fitz then gets emotional over a video that Simmons took talking about how thye first met and then imagining settling down with him at some village in England. Later, Fitz shows Bobbi and Hunter a picture that indicates that Will wasn’t sent by NASA to the planet but the secret society as his patch on his suit matches the logo carved on the floor in that castle.

Later on, Fitz watches the sunrise with Simmons and thinks that she said what she said in the video because her mind was getting muddled due to the lack of sleep and food. But Simmons says that she was cleared head then as she is now. Simmons wants to know what they should do about it and Fitz just wants to enjoy seeing the sunrise with her.

Daisy: Inhuman Tour Guide

On Zephyr 1 on their way to meet the President. Coulson has tasked Daisy to convince Rosalind that there are better ways to deal with Inhumans than put them in stasis. Rosalind said it is for everyone’s protection while they find a cure. Daisy says no cure is needed as she managed to control her powers and not all them are bad. Rosalind is still not convinced as Daisy is an exception. Daisy shows the containment unit that can be a are human way to house the Inhumans.

The plan to see the President is put on hold when Coulson learns that Andrew has taken May (see Andrew Lashes Out). Lincoln, who Mack collected, tells Coulson et al. that it is Andrew that is Lash

Andrew Lashes Out

So Andrew is asked to evaluate Joey, the Inhuman from the season premiere, to see if he is ready to join SHIELD. At an offsite training facility, Joey has managed to control his powers and wants to join SHIELD. It really looks like Andrew is going to turn into Lash and kill Joey but May arrives and gets Joey away.

You see, May believes what Werner told her and gets her proof by looking at Andrew’s fight looks and medical records to see that he deleted his blood work.

Andrew takes May to an abandoned part of Culver University and explains what happened to him.

SHIELD and ATCU arrive with Lincoln. Everyone wants to bring Andrew in alive except for Lincoln who wants to kill him for killing his friends.

Andrew turns into Lash after getting blasted by Lincoln’s electricity. Everyone fires icers, bullets at Lash but it doesn’t affect him. Lash ends up taking Rosalind and throws her over a landing. Daisy uses her quake powers to lower Rosalind to safety.

Eventually, May talks to Lash as Andrew and get him to turn back. May then takes her gun and shoots him several times into the containment unit. As the door closes, Lash bangs his hand on the glass. Coulson asks if May knew that Andrew would be okay; she replies she didn’t.

Afterwards, it is decided that Andrew will be taken to the ATCU facility to be put into stasis so a cure can be found, Lincoln joins SHIELD as he got tired of running and Coulson and Rosalind go for a drink.

Coda

Ward is meeting with Malick and discussion turn to wanting to kill Coulson as this will destroy SHIELD. Their conversation is interrupted by Rosalind calling in to say that she is almost there with Coulson. We see Coulson emerge from her bedroom as it is clear that they have slept together.

I am curious that since Rosalind is working with Malick, does that mean she is HYDRA and if so, does that mean HYDRA will have that army of Inhumans and not SHIELD. Curious to see how this plays out.
