Space Orders Up a Second Season of Bitten

Laura-Vandervoort-Season-2-1It seems like the social media campaign around #RenewBitten has worked as Space Channel has ordered up a second helping of the werewolf drama.

We will know find out how Malcolm will use Rachel against the Pack and how will Clay and Elena’s relationship move forward in light of Elena finding Philip’s head in her bed.

According to the Bell Media press release, Space has ordered 10 additional, one-hour episodes. Production is expected to begin this summer and will once again be shot on location in Toronto, Hamilton, and Hespeler.

Bitten has been such an exciting addition to Space,” said Phil King, President – CTV, Sports, and Entertainment Programming, in a statement. “When we signed on for Season 1 we knew it was a unique series and when fans and critics agreed with us, we knew we had a hit. Here’s to another season of making great television with our terrific production partners.”

Bitten is based on the series of novels by Kelley Armstrong about the lone female werewolf. The show stars Laura Vandervoort, Greyston Holt, Greg Bryk, Steve Lund and Michael Xavier.

No news on whether SyFy in the United States will pick up season 2 of Bitten but I expect that SyFy will.

Also, no word on when season 2 will air but I expect that it would air sometime early 2015. In the meantime, Space Channel is airing all of season 1 on Sunday at 11pm ET or you can catch-up on season 1 by reading our recaps.
