Tis’ the Holiday season and in our latest podcast we welcome back Chelsea who join Nadya and I (Sigrid was ill and couldn’t make it) in discussion the trailers for three of the biggest movies coming out in 2013: Man of Steel, Iron Man 3 and Star Trek Into Darkness. Chelsea gets quite passionate about her views of Iron Man 3 while we all three wonder who Benedict Cumberbatch is playing in Star Trek.
Nadya and Chelsea also discuss Gossip Girl that will be ending its run tomorrow night.
And Nadya and I also share our thoughts on Arrow and Elementary. And we have as many false endings as Lord of the Rings: Return of the King.
We end our podcast with some geek/Christmas related gift ideas. Chelsea recommend the first season of Community. Nadya suggests Fringe to prime people for that shows season finale. I recommend people check some classic films like 1949’s The Heiress starring Olivia De Havilland and 1940’s The Shop Around the Corner starring James Stewart and Margaret Sullivan.
Happy Holidays everyone and Happy New Year!

About your hosts:
All three of us met while volunteering for Vancouver’s awesome annual Shakespeare festival Bard on the Beach. One day as we were on our break, we started talking about TV and found out we had a lot to say about TV shows past and present and other things pop culture. Hence this podcast was born.
Vanessa: I love all things pop culture and that includes TV, films and theatre. My favourite shows include Glee, Chuck, Smallville, Felicity, Veronica Mars, Pushing Daisies, Gilmore Girls, Battlestar Galactica, Everwood, Road to Avonlea, The Young Riders, The Muppet Show,. Masterpiece (formerly known as Masterpiece Theatre) and I could go on and on and on and on. Fave films include Star Wars trilogies (yes I said trilogies -I like the prequels), Harry Potter (all 8 films), Wallace and Gromit, Jane Eyre 2011 version, West Side Story, The Sounds of Music, and too many more to name.
